Module 1 – Introduction to Sustainable Finance
This module will explain the historical development of sustainability since the emergence of the concept of CSR. During the module, participants will discover the role of global warming as a driver for climate change and learn how climate risks might affect business. The module will also highlight the financing needed to tackle these factors and the role of private capital in bridging the current investment gap.
Module 2 – The Wider World of Sustainable Finance
This module will introduce how sustainable finance is being mainstreamed in different industries in the financial system. Participants will be introduced to different players, initiatives, commitments and products in three of the mains financial industries: Capital Markets, Asset Management and Banking.
Module 3 – The EU Sustainable Finance Policy and Legislative Development
This module will detail the latest sustainable finance legislative developments taking place at an EU level including for instance: EU strategy for 2050, the EU action plan for Sustainable Finance and the EU taxonomy. Participants will learn about where the EU Sustainable Finance ecosystem is heading in the months and years to come, and identify where the opportunities and challenges will lie.
